The aim of the public consultation is to obtain information on products (mixtures and articles) with consumer use containing boric acid and the borates listed above. Therefore, this questionnaire is addressed to companies, downstream users, and stakeholders familiar with consumer uses of boric acid and borates.
In addition, the DE CA is interested in data on uses and risks of possible alternative substances in consumer products. Although the uses of borates are considered to be quite similar, some borates have a wider use spectrum than others. Therefore, the likelihood of replacing one borate with another is also of interest for this RMOA.
